What you will need:

1 cup frosty ripe banana chunks (approximately 1 large banana) per serving 1 Champion Juicer 3 bowls, 2 large and 1 small 1 heavy plastic container with a snap-on lid Heavy freezer bags.

Considerations:

This recipe requires the use of a Champion Juicer. No other juicer, blender, or Food processor will give the same results.

Use only ripe bananas for this recipe. Look for a nice speckling of brown freckles on the banana skin. If the bananas aren't ripe enough, the sweetmeat won't be very sweet. Reject any bananas that still have a green tint, or any hat have gotten soft or turned brown. Think buying a large quantity of ripe bananas when the grocery store has them on special. frosty banana chunks keep well in the freezer and are all the time ready to use for ice cream.

To do ahead:

Peel all bananas and chop them into 1 inch chunks. Arrange the chunks on trays or cookie sheets and place in the freezer overnight. Once the chunks are frosty solid, remove them from the trays and store them in the freezer in heavy freezer bags.

Making the ice cream:

Remove sufficient frosty banana chunks from the freezer for the desired number of servings and place them in a large bowl.

Replace the fine screen on the Champion Juicer with the ice cream blank, and then place a small bowl under the blank to catch drips. Place a large bowl in front of the juicer to catch the ice cream.

With the Champion Juicer running, force frosty banana chunks one at a time down into the Juicer with the Food Tamper. Use caution. Banana chunks are very hard, and you may have to pull the tamper out and reinsert it any times to get each chunk to go all the way through.

If you are planning to make a large amount, stop occasionally and replaceMent the frosty sweetmeat from the large bowl to the freezer container. Store the container in the freezer to keep the ice cream frosty in the middle of transfers.

Final thoughts:

Even if you only made 1 serving, place the ice cream in the freezer, and then wash all of the parts of the Champion Juicer wholly as soon as you are finished. Bananas are sticky.

Because this sweetmeat contains nothing but bananas, even though it seems to be packed with fat and tastes far too good to be on a diet, in reality, one serving - approximately two scoops - is only one banana.
